Dragonfly Media Publishing
We publish print-by-demand fiction and non-fiction. Fiction includes
mainstream/contemporary, historical, literary, romance, chick-lit,
woman's fiction, science fiction, fantasy, children, adventure,
thriller, mystery, Westerns, young adult. Non-fiction includes self-help,
health/medicine, nature, spirituality, philosophy, photography,
leisure. We do not accept erotica fiction. We reserve the right
to accept or deny any manuscript as we see fit. See our different
control streams for royalty percentages.
Please query or submit synopsis and first three chapters
only — no complete manuscripts unless specifically requested.
Please do not submit handwritten material. Manuscripts must be
submitted electronically via e-mail.
The file format of the manuscript should be MS Word, 12-point Times
New Roman, double-spaced, with at least 1" wide margins all
around. Please number your pages consecutively, and put the title
of your novel at the top of each page.
Very important: Please type your name, address,
e-mail and phone number in the upper right hand corner of the first
page of your manuscript. Right under this, please put the length
of your manuscript in number of words.
We specialize in publishing first novels, especially from but not
limited to Canadian authors. A literary agent is not required for
submission. We will consider manuscripts that are currently on submission
to another publisher.
Be sure to include a return e-mail address for feedback
on your submission, if you are a member
of Dragonfly Media Publishing, and have requrested it.
Please be patient: it may require up to six weeks or more for our
editors to review a submission.
It is not necessary for you to register or copyright your work
before publication—it is protected by law as long as it has
not been published. When published, we will copyright the book in
the author's name.
